Privacy Policy

BunnyMoney is made by Arnic Studio Inc. ("Arnic", "we", "us"), a company incorporated in British Columbia, Canada. This policy explains what information the BunnyMoney app and website collect, why, and what we do with it. The short version: your financial data belongs to you, we never sell it, we never share it for marketing, and nobody at Arnic browses it.

What we collect

• Account information. If you create an account: your email address and a password (stored only as a secure hash by our infrastructure provider). Creating an account is optional; the app works without one.
• Optional profile details. If you choose to share them: your date of birth, how you identify (and a preferred term), and how you heard about BunnyMoney. These personalize messages inside the app (like a birthday greeting) and help us understand how people find us. You can skip all of them.
• Your financial entries. The transactions, budgets, goals, debts, assets and preferences you type into the app. If you use an account, this data is stored against it so it can sync across your devices. Without an account it stays on your device.
• Images you scan. If you photograph a bank statement or investing screenshot, the image is sent securely to our server, analyzed by an AI model solely to extract the line items or holdings, and the results are returned to your device. The image is not stored, not shared, and not used to train any model by us.
• Purchases. Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple. We never see your payment card details.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal information. Ever.
• We do not share your financial data with advertisers, data brokers, or any other third party for their own purposes.
• We do not show third-party ads.
• We do not use your data to train AI models.

Service providers we rely on

We use a small number of processors, only to run the service:

• Supabase hosts our database and account system (authentication, encrypted in transit and at rest).
• Google (Gemini API) performs the transient AI analysis of images and text you explicitly submit (statement scans, quick-add parsing, insights). Content is processed to provide the feature and is subject to Google's API data-use terms.
• Apple handles all payments and subscriptions.
• Netlify hosts this website and the web version of the app.
• A public exchange-rate service provides currency rates; no personal data is sent to it.

Where your data lives and how long

Account data is stored on servers located in North America. We keep it for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, or ask us to, your synced data is deleted from our systems. Data kept only on your device is under your control and is removed when you delete the app.

Your rights

Under Canada's PIPEDA and British Columbia's PIPA (and, where applicable, the GDPR and similar laws), you can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you. Email us and we'll take care of it. You can also withdraw consent for optional data (like your birthday) at any time by clearing it in the app.

Children

BunnyMoney is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production systems is restricted, and your synced data is protected by row-level security so it is only readable by your own account.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and, for meaningful changes, tell you in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
